Locum - Physician - Hematology Oncology Opportunity in Paducah, KY!

ATC West Healthcare is seeking a board-certified Hematologist-Oncologist for an ongoing locum assignment beginning in October. This role is primarily outpatient-focused, caring for an adult patient population with a strong emphasis on oncology while also managing hematology cases. The position offers a consistent weekday schedule with limited overnight call responsibilities.

Dates & Schedule

• Start Date: October (ongoing coverage)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: Potential for 3–6 overnight call shifts per month (5:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days after application submission

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Provide care to 100% adult patients
• Practice split:
  • 95% outpatient clinic
  • 5% inpatient hospital coverage
• Specialty focus:
  • 70% Oncology
  • 30% Hematology
• Average daily volume:
  • Approximately 22 patients per day
  • 2–3 new consults daily
• Utilize Epic EMR
• Perform and manage:
  • Hematology and oncology evaluations and treatment plans
  • Outpatient and inpatient Hem/Onc care
  • Intrathecal chemotherapy administration
  • Potential intracavitary chemotherapy procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Board Certification in Hematology or Medical Oncology
• Completion of a Hematology/Oncology fellowship
• Experience providing both outpatient and inpatient Hematology/Oncology care
• Intrathecal chemotherapy experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• COVID-19 vaccination
• Self-Query NPDB report (must be obtained within 30 days of presentation)

Highly Preferred:

• Active Kentucky medical license
• Intracavitary chemotherapy experience
