Job description
We are seeking a Hematology and Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Saint Louis, MO. This is an opportunity to provide comprehensive care for adult hematology and oncology patients in a tertiary academic medical center. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
Treat hematologic conditions including sickle cell anemia, coagulopathies, and benign hematology disorders
Oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hormonal therapy, blood transfusions, and growth factor support
Perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
Manage oncologic emergencies including tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic fever
Coordinate genetic testing and counseling
Supervise APP staff
Average clinic volume: 8-10 patients per day Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; 16-20 patients on Friday
Manage average of 5 inpatients daily
Qualifications
Missouri State Medical License (IMLC Accepted)
BLS, ACLS
DEA
Missouri BNDD
Working Hours
Tuesday: Rounding in AM only (no clinic)
Wednesday: AM rounding; 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM clinic
Thursday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM clinic; rounding afterwards
Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM clinic
