We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a locum tenens position in New Ulm, MN. This is an outpatient opportunity covering a community-based oncology clinic and infusion center. Please see below for more information.
This is a full-spectrum medical oncology and hematology practice in a community setting, providing new patient consults, treatment planning, chemotherapy oversight, and ongoing disease management. The role includes access to clinical trials.
- Outpatient oncology clinic plus infusion center (9 infusion chairs, 2 private treatment rooms)
- Onsite imaging (PET, MRI, CT) and onsite lab
- Epic EMR
Job Responsibilities
Perform new patient consults, treatment planning, and ongoing disease management
Oversee chemotherapy administration in the infusion center
Manage treatment scope including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and oncology supportive therapies
Treat solid tumor cancers and hematologic conditions (no radiation oncology)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including navigator, clinical research nurse, oncology social worker, and dietitian
Patient population: adults, approximately 13-20 patients per day
Qualifications
Minnesota medical license or IMLC (IMLC/LOQ pathway accepted)
DEA registration
Working Hours
Scheduled coverage, no call
