Hematology/Oncology opening in Colorado Springs, CO Full-time, Permanent An established Cancer Care Program in Colorado Springs is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician to join a high-performing multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive cancer care across southern Colorado. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine advanced oncology practice with meaningful rural outreach, helping expand access to specialty cancer services in underserved communities.

Schedule & Call Flexible 4-day work week Limited shared call responsibilities Minimal weekend coverage This role includes outreach hematology/oncology services approximately 6 days per month in rural Colorado communities, including: - Lamar, Colorado - Trinidad, Colorado Travel to outreach locations is required (approximately 2–3 hours from Colorado Springs). Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in outpatient and affiliated clinic settings Collaborate with an established team of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurse navigators, social workers, and support staff Deliver outreach oncology services to rural clinics Coordinate patient care across multiple care sites Utilize EPIC EMR system-wide Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered care initiatives Support ongoing clinical growth and program development Share in limited group call responsibilities Team & Practice Environment Established team of 12 physicians, 8 advanced practice providers, and Multidisciplinary support staff Collaborative and physician-led culture Integrated cancer care services Academically connected healthcare environment Compensation & Benefits Compensation - Base salary: $489,000 – $543,000 annually - Quality and productivity bonus opportunities - Relocation assistance available - Paid malpractice coverage Benefits Package - Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance - Life and disability coverage - CME allowance - 403(b) retirement plan with employer match - Optional 457(b) retirement plan - Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) options - Paid family and medical leave - Contractual paid time off based on FTE status Ideal candidates will have: A passion for rural medicine Commitment to improving access to oncology care Comfort practicing with autonomy within a collaborative system Requirements Board Eligible (within 5 years) or Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology Colorado medical license required prior to start DEA license required prior to start Willingness to provide rural outreach approximately 6 days per month Current NPDB Self-Query report required BLS certification required Candidates should demonstrate strong collaboration skills and commitment to equitable cancer care access
