Join a brand-new Hematology & Oncology practice opening in September 2026 and help shape the future of cancer care in a thriving community hospital setting.
Position Highlights
- Specialty: Hematology/Oncology
- Location: Lewisburg, PA
- Start Date: September 8, 2026
- Contract Length: Through March 8, 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 4-Day Work Week Considered
- Call Schedule: 1:2 weeknight and weekend call
- Practice Setting: Outpatient Clinic + Hospital
- EMR: Epic
Practice Details
This is an exciting opportunity to join a newly established Medical Oncology and Hematology practice located within a 131-bed community hospital. The program already has one employed Hematology/Oncology physician on staff and is expanding to meet growing patient demand.
Job Responsibilities
General Hematology and Oncology
Adult patients only (18+)
Approximately 10 patients per day initially, with expected growth
Mix of approximately 60% Oncology / 40% Hematology
Outpatient clinic responsibilities
Inpatient consultation coverage as needed
Dedicated Support Team
You will be supported by:
2 Front Office Staff
1 Registered Nurse
1 Medical Assistant
1 Patient Navigator
Additional clinical and administrative support personnel
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
Active Pennsylvania License or IMLC Letter of Qualification required for presentation
Active DEA required
Credentialing
Estimated Credentialing Time: 90 Days
