Job description
We are seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a locum tenens position in Saint Louis, MO. This is a clinic and hospital inpatient opportunity with no call required. Please see below for more information.
EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
Supervise chemotherapy orders and manage oncologic emergencies (tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, neutropenic fever)
Perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
Coordinate genetic testing and counseling
Manage inpatient hematology/oncology patients (average 5 inpatients)
See approximately 8–20 clinic patients per day (varies by day)
Treat malignancies including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, head and neck, melanoma, and hematologic conditions
Supervise Advanced Practice Providers
Work with oncology pharmacist, nurse navigator, oncology RN, onsite radiation therapy, and infusion center
Qualifications
Active Missouri medical license (IMLC accepted)
Missouri DEA
Missouri BNDD (CSR)
BLS
ACLS
Working Hours
Tuesday: Rounding only
Wednesday: Rounding AM + 12p–6p clinic
Thursday: 8a–12p + rounding
Friday: 8a–4p clinic
No call required
