A growing oncology program in Potsdam, New York is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term locums assignment. This opportunity offers a primarily outpatient practice setting with minimal inpatient consults, strong clinical support, and a collaborative oncology environment. The facility highly prefers full-time coverage but remains flexible for providers close to full-time availability.
Job Responsibilities
• Administer and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy treatments
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Provide occasional inpatient oncology consults as needed
• Collaborate closely with oncology nursing staff, NP, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Document patient encounters accurately using EPIC EMR with AI-assisted charting support
• Participate in a growing oncology program with adaptable workflow needs
Qualifications
• Active New York medical license required
• Minimum 5 years of recent Hematology/Oncology experience preferred
• Recent EPIC EMR experience required
• Strong communication and collaborative care skills
• Flexible and adaptable personality suited for a growing program
• Clean and updated work history required
Working Hours
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 1-hour lunch break included
• No call responsibilities
• Full-time highly preferred
