Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Anchorage, AK. This is a clinic-based outpatient coverage opportunity with no call, and serves as a locums-to-perm opportunity for a long-term fit. Please see below for more information.
Trauma Level: II
EMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic)
Job Responsibilities
Conduct 1-hour new patient consults and 30-minute follow-up visits
Participate in a "doc of the day" rotational business hours model for consults
Provide rounding at the affiliated hospital 5 minutes away (walking distance) as needed
Manage paper orders and charts for infusions
Work alongside a support team of 3 FTE physicians, 1 FTE NP, and 1 per diem NP
Qualifications
Active Alaska state license
DEA
Cerner experience preferred
Working Hours
2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation preferred
No call
Start Date: 8/24/2026
Contract Length: 20 weeks (locums-to-perm opportunity)
Employment Type: Locum Tenens – 1099
