Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Ephrata, PA. This is a full-time clinic, inpatient consult, and call coverage opportunity at an acute care hospital and affiliated clinic in a rural community setting. Please see below for more information.

Job Responsibilities
Manage a patient mix of approximately 60% hematology and 40% oncology
Care for solid tumor oncology and benign and malignant hematology cases
Cover a 14-chair onsite infusion center (with 2-bed infusion room) staffed by oncology-certified nursing
Coordinate with onsite Radiation Oncology
Participate in tumor board
Provide inpatient consulting service and phone call coverage
Work alongside 1.3 Hem/Onc physicians, 3 APPs, and an onsite pharmacist
No bone marrow biopsy, lumbar puncture, port access, or BMT performed
Care for adult patient population in a rural community setting
Qualifications
Active Pennsylvania state license (or IMLC accepted)

Working Hours
Full-time, 5 clinic days per week
Clinic hours: 8:00a start, first patient 8:15/8:30a, last patient 3:30p, 30-minute lunch
Weekend call: 2 weekends per month, 24-hour coverage
Night call: 10 days per month (1:2 rotation), weeknight call 4:15p–8:00a
Start Date: 7/27/2026
Contract Length: Ongoing (6-month minimum commitment)
