Physician - Hematology/Oncology | No Call | KY

This Hematology/Oncology locums opportunity in KY offers the ideal mix of flexibility, collaborative support, and consistent patient volume for physicians seeking their next assignment.

Schedule:
- 8am - 5pm, No Call
- 3 days/week is preferred

Details:
- Support staff: APP support and 3 docs.
- Patients per day: 15/day
- EMR: Meditech
- Locums provider will sit on tumor board
- New vs. follow-up ration: 20% new/ 80% follow-ups
- Infusion supervision requirements: Standard medical oncology supervision model; no unique or additional supervision requirements beyond typical practice standards.
- Hematology vs. solid tumor mix: Approximately 60% hematology / 40% solid tumor.
- High-acuity patients: The practice does not routinely manage high-acuity cases such as acute leukemias on-site; those are typically referred to tertiary centers.
- APP coverage: one APP on-site daily.
- APP visit scope: APPs primarily assist with follow-ups and supportive care visits; independent follow-ups may occur based on clinic needs and provider comfort.
- Notes and orders: APPs assist with documentation and orders in collaboration with the physician; not physician-only.
- RN/infusion support: Dedicated oncology-trained RNs support infusion services during clinic hours.
