A healthcare system in Michigan is seeking a Hematology & Oncology physician for a locum tenens assignment supporting an outpatient oncology clinic during a recruitment gap. This is a structured part-time schedule ideal for a provider seeking consistent clinic work with strong multidisciplinary support.

Position Overview:

• Start Date: 01/19/2026
• End Date: 07/31/2026
• Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Setting: Outpatient oncology/hematology clinic
• Clinic call coverage as needed

Clinical Volume & Workflow:

• Average 15–20 outpatient patients per day
• Previously a two-physician practice with NP support
• Participation in multidisciplinary tumor board
• Focus on outpatient hematology and oncology care

Support Structure:

• Oncology RNs
• Medical Assistants
• Nurse Navigator
• Social Worker
• Dietitian
• Onsite infusion center
• Onsite CBC/lab services

EMR:

• Cerner

Scope of Practice:

• Outpatient hematology and oncology management
• Treatment planning and follow-up care
• Participation in tumor board discussions
• Coordination with infusion and supportive services

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Medical Oncology & Hematology (or truly BE considered)
• Active Michigan medical license required (no IMLC accepted)
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience in outpatient hematology/oncology required
• Familiarity with Cerner preferred
• Current NPDB self-query within 30 days
• Availability must be provided at submission
