Job Responsibilities
Mix is more Hematology than Oncology Hem but this can fluctuate from month to month.
Volume of patients per day will also fluctuate, but averages between 15-22 patients- f/u's and new patients
Call also varies and is phone call only.
New consults per week average between 15 and 20, depending on the referral volumes
Hospital rounding with a midlevel to assist.
The facility would like the physician to participate in the Tumor Board, but will only present if they need to
BMBX completed by IR.
Chemotherapy is administered in the infusion dept by RN's with a team of pharmacists embedded in the center.
Call would be on the weekends as well. Schedule is from a Tuesday to a Tuesday.
Qualifications
Certifications: ACLS and BLS
