Job Description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Potsdam, NY. This is primarily an outpatient role with occasional inpatient consults, supporting a growing oncology program in a collaborative clinical environment.
Job Responsibilities
Manage adult patients with cancer and blood disorders
Administer and oversee treatments including:
Chemotherapy
Immunotherapy
Targeted therapy
Hormone therapy
Conduct inpatient consults as needed (minimal)
Collaborate with NPs and clinical support staff
Document patient care using EPIC EMR (AI-enabled)
Qualifications
Active New York license (required)
Minimum 5+ years of experience preferred
Experience with EPIC EMR required
Strong adaptability in a growing clinical program
Working Hours
1-hour lunch break included
No call responsibilities
Skills
Ability to manage high-volume outpatient workflow
Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills
Effective team collaboration and communication
Proficiency in EPIC EMR documentation
