We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum opportunity in Ephrata, PA. This role offers full-time coverage with a structured schedule and call rotation, in a supportive clinic and hospital setting.
This is an excellent opportunity for providers looking for a long-term assignment (minimum 6 months) with a balanced mix of outpatient care and consultative responsibilities.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage approximately 15 patients per day
• Handle a mix of solid tumor oncology and benign/malignant hematology cases (60% hem / 40% onc)
• Conduct outpatient clinic visits and coordinate inpatient consults
• Participate in call rotation (hospital + ER coverage)
• Collaborate with APPs, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in tumor boards as needed
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania license required (IMLC accepted / willing to license)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Epic experience preferred
Working Hours
• Clinic Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Coverage: Full-time (minimum 6-month commitment)
Call Schedule:
• Weekend Coverage: 2 weekends per month
• Night Call: ~10 days per month
• Call Rotation: 1:2
• Call Type: Inpatient + phone
• Weekday call: 4:15 PM – 8:00 AM
• Weekend: 24-hour call
Skills
• Ability to manage both inpatient consults and outpatient clinic
• Familiarity with multidisciplinary cancer care
• Strong clinical judgment and teamwork
