Job description
We are seeking dedicated Hematology/Oncology Physicians for a long-term locum opportunity in Chambersburg, PA. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic work with limited inpatient consults in a collaborative and supportive environment.
Job Responsibilities
• Support inpatient and ER consultations as needed
• Manage approximately 15 patients per day
• Handle a mix of oncology (2/3) and hematology (1/3) cases
• Participate in call rotation (1 week/month) including weekend and night call
• Collaborate with care teams including NP support and virtual specialists
• Supervise urgent patient needs during assigned clinic sessions
• Participate in tumor boards and coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
• Fellowship Required
• Willing to obtain state license
• DEA preferred
• Open to both experienced and less experienced physicians
Working Hours
• Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts
• Minimum Coverage: 3 days/week (Full-time preferred)
• Call: Required (Weekend + Night + 24-hour call rotation)
Skills
• Ability to manage both clinic and consult workflows
• Effective communication and team collaboration
• Experience with infusion therapies and oncology treatments
