We are seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term locum assignment in Potsdam, New York. This is a great opportunity to join a growing program with a supportive team and manageable patient volume.
📅 Assignment Details
- Location: Potsdam, NY
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Lunch: 1-hour blocked daily
- Assignment Length: 6–9 months
- Start: ASAP
- Call: Minimal / not required
Job Responsibilities
Setting: Outpatient Clinic (with occasional inpatient consults)
Patient Volume: 18–20 patients per day
Infusion Chairs: 15
EMR: Epic (AI-assisted charting available)
👩⚕️ Clinical Responsibilities:
Manage hematology and oncology patients in an outpatient setting
Administer and oversee:
Chemotherapy
Immunotherapy
Targeted therapy
Hormone therapy
Provide occasional inpatient consults (infrequent)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
👥 Support Team
1 Physician
1 Nurse Practitioner
3 CMA/CNA support staff
Qualifications
Board Certified (Required)
Active New York License (in hand)
Minimum 5 years of experience
Epic experience required
Clean, consistent work history (no gaps >30 days)
Flexible and adaptable to a growing program
