Job description
• We are seeking an experienced Hematology & Oncology Physician (MD/DO) for a locums assignment with Hospital located in Potsdam NY.
• The provider will deliver comprehensive oncology care in a primarily outpatient setting, with occasional inpatient consults as needed.
• This is a 6–9 month assignment offering a structured schedule, collaborative team environment, and the opportunity to work within a growing oncology program.

Job Responsibilities
• Administer and manage treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormone therapy
• Manage a daily patient volume of approximately 18–20 patients
• Provide occasional inpatient consults during normal operating hours as needed
• Collaborate with MDs, NP, LPNs, and clinical support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Utilize EPIC EMR (AI-supported charting available) for accurate and timely documentation
• Participate in care coordination and treatment planning within a multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• Active New York medical license (in hand)
• DEA certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Clean and up-to-date work history with no unexplained gaps over 30 days
• Physician statement required for any malpractice history
Working Hours
• 1-hour scheduled lunch break
• Overtime as needed
• Assignment length: 6–9 months
