This comprehensive cancer center is equipped with the latest oncology technology and treatments, including daVinci robotic assisted surgery, Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator offering IMRT stereotactic radiation treatment and 3D radiotherapy, PET/CT scans, and the region's only automated breast ultrasound (ABUS). The facility provides state-of-the-art cancer care with advanced treatment options and cutting-edge medical technology.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology services with 18-25 patient encounters per shift
• Clinic hours Monday-Friday 8am to 4:30pm with potential for half day off during the week
• Must have 2 or more weeks of availability and ability to provide 4 weeks per month coverage
• Work alongside 2 fulltime physicians and 2 fulltime APPs in a collaborative environment
• Handle primarily medical oncology and hematology patients (60/40 split)
• Perform consults, follow-ups, and possible bone marrow procedures
• Average clinic patient census of 15-23 patients per shift
• On-call duties include beeper consultation with 1-2 night call patients
• Weekend and some weekday evening hospital call with light call volume
• Phone consultations and occasional rounding during call periods
• Board certification required with ACLS, ATLS, and BLS certifications
• Emergency privileges available for open dates within 60 days
• 90-day credentialing timeframe
• No acute leukemia or malignant hematology cases
