Job description
The Hematology/Oncology Physician will provide comprehensive care in a community-based setting, managing both malignant and benign hematologic conditions as well as solid tumor oncology cases. The role includes clinic-based patient care with hospital consult coverage aligned with call schedules, supported by a multidisciplinary team.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide outpatient clinic care and coordinate treatment plans
• Collaborate with APPs and hospital teams for inpatient consults
• Participate in call rotation including ER and hospital consult coverage
• Coordinate care with radiation oncology and infusion services
• Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary discussions
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania license (or willing to obtain)
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
Working Hours
• Full-time coverage required (ongoing, minimum 6 months)
• Call Schedule:
2 weekends/month (24-hour call)
~10 nights/month
Call rotation: 1:2
Skills
• Ability to manage solid tumors and benign/malignant hematologic conditions
• Experience in outpatient and consultative inpatient care
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
