Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive cancer care program with multiple accreditations including American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACOS CoC), National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), and American College of Radiology Radiation Oncology Practice Accreditation (ACR ROPA). The facility features a well-staffed oncology department with 13 RNs, specialized navigators, pharmacists, and dedicated support staff, creating a collegial and supportive practice environment.
Opportunity:
Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
• Join a 4-provider group consisting of 1 physician and 3 APPs in an employed practice setting
• Handle 95% outpatient and 5% inpatient patient mix with 10-15 patients per day average
• Work preferred schedule of 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday with occasional night and weekend call
• Participate in 1:2 call rotation with very few calls that can be handled via phone
• Utilize ONCO EMR system in modern office setting
• Collaborate with onsite genetic counselor and participate in weekly tumor board meetings
• Work alongside radiation oncology in shared physical location with dedicated waiting area
• Manage patients with 60-minute new patient consults and 30-minute follow-ups
• Each provider assigned to three examination rooms with comprehensive RN assessments
• Inpatient rounding typically handled by APPs with hospitalist group managing admissions
• Access to research department with dedicated oncology research associate
• Support from specialized staff including breast/colon and lung cancer navigators
• Must be Board Certified with ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Michigan medical license required (IMLC not accepted)
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60 days
• Coverage dates: 5/25-6/6 with ongoing assignments of 2 weeks per month preferred

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
