We are seeking a Locum-to-Perm provider to cover medical Hematology/Oncology needs. This role involves split coverage across two sites and includes both clinic and inpatient responsibilities.
-Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off; Clinic hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
-Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 (plus West Des Moines site).
-Team: 1 Physician; 1:1 Nursing support (No APPs currently assigned).
-Charting: EPIC EMR.
-
Gratis Hours: 24-hour call includes 4 hours gratis; Night call includes 2 hours gratis.
-
Travel: Flights, Lodging, and Rental Car
Job Responsibilities
-Manage a clinic volume of 10–30 patients per day; Hospital census of 10–15.
-Services include new treatment plans, chemotherapy management, and end-of-life care.
-Potential for telehealth responsibilities in addition to inpatient duties.
-Participate in an on-call rotation (exact schedule TBD).
Qualifications
-Fellowship: Must be Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology [REQUIRED].
-Licensure: Active Iowa License or Active IMLC (with LOQ provided at submission) [REQUIRED].
-Flexibility: Must be willing to work at both the Des Moines and West Des Moines campuses.
-Credentialing: Clean background/malpractice; NPDB Self-Query pulled within the current month [REQUIRED].

Skills
-Proficiency in EPIC EMR and full-spectrum Hematology/Oncology treatment plans.
-Strong interest in transitioning from locum to a permanent staff position.
