Job description
We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Physician to provide outpatient locum coverage for a well established oncology practice. This opportunity offers a consistent clinic schedule and the ability to support a collaborative oncology team while caring for patients in a community based setting.
This role is ideal for physicians who enjoy outpatient oncology care and are looking for predictable clinic coverage with limited monthly commitments.
The physician will provide outpatient hematology and oncology care for patients in a busy oncology clinic. The provider will see approximately 15 to 20 patients per shift and work closely with nursing staff and clinic support personnel to manage patient treatment plans and follow up care.
The facility uses Epic EMR and offers a supportive clinical environment with dedicated oncology staff.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage patients undergoing cancer treatment and follow up care
• Collaborate with oncology nursing staff and clinic personnel
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment planning
• Participate in scheduled clinic hours and limited call responsibilities if required
Qualifications
• Active Kansas license or IMLC eligibility
• Fellowship training in Hematology / Oncology preferred
• BLS certification required
• Strong outpatient oncology management experience preferred
Working Hours
Wednesday – Friday coverage
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM clinic hours
