Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Physician specializing in Hematology to join our dynamic healthcare team. This vital role involves diagnosing, managing, and treating a wide range of blood disorders, including anemia, clotting issues, leukemia, lymphoma, and other hematologic conditions. Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations through detailed medical histories and physical examinations focused on hematologic health.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing advanced therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or targeted agents for blood cancers and disorders.
  • Order, interpret, and utilize diagnostic tools including blood tests, bone marrow biopsies, medical imaging (such as CT scans), and laboratory results to guide clinical decisions.
  • Collaborate with specialists in related fields such as oncology, cardiology, endocrinology, and radiology to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
  • Manage inpatient and outpatient cases, ensuring seamless discharge planning and follow-up care tailored to individual needs.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives aimed at advancing hematologic treatment options and improving patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or other EMR platforms while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients regarding disease management, medication administration—including IV infusions—and lifestyle modifications such as health coaching.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with board certification or eligibility in Hematology.
  • Valid medical license to practice within the designated jurisdiction.
  • Demonstrated experience with inpatient hospital medicine and outpatient care settings, including hospital experience at Level I trauma centers or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms; familiarity with medical coding (CPT, ICD) is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of physiology related to hematologic processes and disease pathophysiology.
  • Experience with diagnostic radiology interpretation relevant to hematology cases; familiarity with medical imaging modalities like CT scans is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies or catheterization when necessary; experience with laboratory techniques including blood draws and wound care is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient service delivery and interdisciplinary collaboration.
