Job description Position: Full-Time Hematology/Oncology Physician Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado (with outreach to Lamar and Trinidad) Practice Type: Established, high-performing Cancer Care team Travel: Required ~6 days/month to rural clinics in Lamar and Trinidad (2–3 hours from Colorado Springs) Schedule:
  • Four 10-hour day shifts/week (approx. 8 AM – 5 PM)
  • Up to 6 outreach clinic days/month
  • Minimal weekend requirements; limited shared call rotation
Clinical Role & Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive hematology/oncology care in outpatient and affiliated clinics
  • Collaborate with 12 physicians, 8 APPs, nurse navigators, social workers
  • Deliver dedicated outreach services to rural communities
  • Work closely with cancer center team for coordinated care
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient-centered cancer care programs
  • Use EPIC EMR system-wide
  • Flexible four-day workweek model
  • Share limited call responsibilities
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Hematology/Oncology physician
  • Passion for rural and outreach oncology care
  • Willingness to travel for outreach clinics (~6 days/month)
  • Values autonomy within a collaborative environment
  • Committed to equitable cancer care for underserved populations
  • No locum tenens or visa sponsorship available for this role
