A Hospital in Santa Cruz, CA is seeking 2 Locum Hematology/Oncology Physicians (1 Full-Time, 1 Part-Time) to start March 2026 (pending credentialing). This ambulatory-based opportunity includes access to a co-located premier infusion center with 15 private bays and strong multidisciplinary oncology support. Ideal candidates may be considered for permanent placement if a good fit.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage 13–18 patients per day
• Utilize co-located infusion center for treatment delivery
• Collaborate with nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacy liaison, research coordinators, and genetic counselors
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and tumor boards
• Document in Cerner EMR
• Deliver patient-centered care from diagnosis through survivorship
Qualifications
• Board Certified Medical Oncology – Highly Preferred (BE considered)
• Board Certified Hematology – Highly Preferred (BE considered)
• Completion of accredited post-graduate training – REQUIRED
• Active BLS – REQUIRED
• Active DEA – REQUIRED
• Clean Malpractice/Background – REQUIRED
• Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days) – REQUIRED at presentation
Working Hours
• Full-Time: 5 days per week
• Part-Time: 2–3 days per week
• Start Date: 03/02/2026 (pending credentialing – up to 90 days)
• No emergency privileges
