The facility offers advanced cancer care services with state-of-the-art equipment, an integrated EPIC EMR system, and strong multidisciplinary support including medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services.
Opportunity:
Physician - Hematology Oncology
Job Details:
• Locum-to-Perm position with potential for permanent placement • Coverage at both Des Moines and West Des Moines locations is required • Schedule: 4-5 days per week with 8-hour clinic days (8am-4pm) • Patient contact hours: 6 hours daily with appointment lengths of 40 minutes for consults and 20 minutes for follow-ups • Daily patient volume ranges from 10-30 patients in clinic • Average daily hospital census of 10-15 patients • Inpatient responsibilities at both locations • Outreach services in Newton, Iowa (approximately 6 days per month) • Telehealth services required • On-call responsibilities (exact schedule to be determined) • Weekend coverage as needed • Comprehensive service provision including patient assessments, treatment plans, therapy management, chemotherapy management, pain management, and end-of-life care • Fellowship training in Hematology & Oncology required • Must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology • Active Iowa medical license or IMLC required • Clean malpractice/background history required • Experience required
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
