Job description
Medical Center in West Des Moines are seeking an experienced Locum-to-Perm Hematology Oncology Physician to provide inpatient and outpatient medical oncology and hematology services across both sites, with limited outreach and telehealth options
Job Responsibilities
• Inpatient rounding at both MercyOne Des Moines & West Des Moines
• Develop and manage new and ongoing treatment plans
• Chemotherapy and pain management
• End-of-life and supportive care
• Coordinate referrals for ancillary services
• Participate in on-call coverage (schedule TBD)
• Optional outreach to Newton, IA (~6 days/month)
Qualifications
• Fellowship Trained – Hematology & Oncology
• Active Iowa License or IMLC (LOQ required at name clear)
• Experienced provider only
• Willing to work at both MercyOne Des Moines & West Des Moines
• Clean malpractice & background
• Recent NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days)
