This prestigious cancer institute is dedicated to providing comprehensive oncology care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The facility features state-of-the-art treatment areas including an on-site infusion suite, allowing for seamless coordination of patient care. As a hospital-based practice, the institute maintains high standards of excellence in cancer treatment and research.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
• Full-time position (4 days per week) working Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8am-6pm with lunch break from 12-1pm • Schedule includes pre-charting, clinic time, and additional charting time • Manage a panel of established patients and take on new patients • Field calls during clinic time as part of regular hourly responsibilities • Collaborate with APPs and nurses regarding treatment parameters for patients • Respond to any treatment reactions and manage urgent situations until rapid response team arrives • Sign chemotherapy orders while nursing staff administers treatments • Answer nurse questions and respond to patient reactions in the infusion section of the clinic • Handle patient questions and participate in daily triage system • Approximately 15 patient encounters per shift • Position requires hospital privileges as this is a hospital-based practice • Board Certification required • Active Oregon license and Oregon DEA required • BLS certification required • 90-day credentialing timeframe • Guaranteed 40 hours per week with overtime applying after 40 hours • May also work at Providence Willamette Falls MC in Oregon City
