Eureka is a charming coastal city in Northern California known for its Victorian architecture, beautiful coastline, and proximity to redwood forests. The area offers an excellent quality of life with outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and a mild climate year-round.
Facility:
This facility is a well-established hospital with a comprehensive cancer care program. The oncology clinic is attached to a chemo treatment center and hospital, providing integrated care for patients. It is a COC accredited program managing approximately 500 analytic cases each year.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology
Job Details:
• Full-time position (5 shifts a week, 4 weeks per month)
• 8-hour shifts daily with 1-hour lunch (9am-12pm and 1pm-4:30pm)
• Manage 12-15 patient encounters per shift
• On-call responsibilities 1 week out of every 3 (phone response only, no on-site call back)
• Weekend call is 24-hour phone coverage
• Must have an active CA license • Board certification eligible required
• BLS certification required
• Must have 2 years of recent inpatient activity to qualify for privileges
• Clean professional file preferred for quicker onboarding
• Start date as early as February 2024 for candidates with clean files, otherwise March 2024
• Possibility for 2 weeks on/2 weeks off schedule for part-time providers (full-time candidates given preference)
• Regular hourly rate may apply for reading studies (max 2 hours) in place of overtime
• All overtime must be pre-approved by clinic manager
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
