A healthcare network in New York City is currently seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist for a great opportunity at one of their facilities in Brooklyn.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: Primarily outpatient
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and provide comprehensive, individualized treatment for patients with a wide range of malignant solid tumors and hematologic disorders.
- Plan and oversee the administration of complex therapies, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, hormonal therapy, and targeted biological agents in the outpatient infusion center.
- Provide expert consultation and longitudinal care for hospitalized patients with acute oncologic and hematologic emergencies.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures.
- Lead sensitive discussions regarding prognosis, goals of care, and treatment options, working closely with the Pain and Palliative Care team to manage symptoms and side effects.
- Serve as attending faculty for the accredited Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program, providing clinical supervision, didactic lectures, and mentorship to fellows, residents, and medical students.
Qualifications:
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of New York
- Board Certified / Eligible in Hematology & Oncology
