Job description
A community-based hospital in North Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for an ongoing locum tenens assignment starting October 1, 2025. The schedule covers the first three weeks of each month, Monday through Thursday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with no nights, weekends, or call required. Job Responsibilities
Manage an average of 15 patients per day
Conduct consultations, follow-up visits, and treatment planning
Collaborate with hospitalists and specialty teams for coordinated care
Document all patient interactions in Epic Oncology EHR
Ensure continuity of care during assigned coverage blocks
Qualifications
3–5 years of clinical experience post-training (required)
Active, unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain)
Experience with both inpatient and outpatient oncology care
Familiarity with Epic EHR (preferred)
Strong communication and team collaboration skills
