Hematology Oncology Physician - Michigan City, Indiana 60m from Chicago Position Details

  • Full-time opportunity for a Board Certified/Board Eligible Hematology Oncology physician

  • Support from an experienced local oncology team with the opportunity for leadership and service line growth in the Michigan City region
Benefits Details Competitive compensation with income guarantee and bonus incentives Recruitment bonus, relocation allowance, and retention packages Paid malpractice coverage 27 days of PTO plus 5 additional CME days with annual stipend Full benefits: health, dental, vision, life, and legal insurance Retirement plans: 403(b), 457(b), and 401(a) Short- and long-term disability (own occupation) Leadership development and customized marketing support Requirements Monday - Friday clinic schedule (8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.) 36 hours of weekly patient contact with possibility of 4.5-day work week Outpatient volume: 12-15 patients per day Call: 1:3 weekdays, weekends, and holidays (includes weekday time off after weekend call) Manage a range of solid tumor and hematologic conditions including: - Breast, lung, colon, rectal, and prostate cancers - Benign hematology conditions Qualifications MD or DO Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology Oncology Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the state of Indiana BLS certification through the American Heart Association Facility Details Modern Infusion Center Radiation Oncology with Trilogy and new TruBeam Linear Accelerators, HyperArc, and Identify technology On-site neurosurgery and physicist support On-site pharmacy and social worker Nurse Navigators and Palliative Care Nurse Practitioners Dedicated clinical research program Monthly Tumor Board for collaborative care discussions Community Details Michigan City, Indiana offers lakeside living along Lake Michigan with access to the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.
