Join Our Team: Hematology Oncologist Opportunity in Eastern North Carolina

We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible fellowship-trained Hematology Oncologist to join their growing Hematology Oncology program. We encourage applications from new graduates and Visa holders.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to have a sub-specialty clinical focus at Health Cancer Care’s location in Greenville, North Carolina. Additionally, community-based oncology care will be provided at regional cancer clinics within the Health network of care.

Health Cancer Care is eastern North Carolina’s leader in comprehensive oncology care with locations across a 29-county service area.

Highlights:

  • Employment by Health Physicians
  • Close collaboration with the Health Hematology Oncology team and direct patient care for Health Cancer Care locations throughout the eastern North Carolina region
  • Monday-Friday 8 am-5 pm schedule
  • Shared call
  • Inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities including: developing treatment plans for new diagnosis in hematology oncology patients, chemotherapy oversight, supervising advance practice provider on follow-up patients, and participating in tumor board
  • Participation in a 9-hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network status in 2020
  • Close collaboration with the Health Cancer Care team which includes a multidisciplinary team of specialists including radiation oncologists, hematology oncologists, surgical oncologists, gynecologic oncologist, neurological oncologist, hematology oncology fellows, and patient navigators
  • State-of-the-art equipment including a Gamma Knife, a Cyber Knife, Trubeam Linear Accelerators, 3D Mammography, 3 MT MRI, Ultrasound, and a full spectrum of radiology services
  • Established clinical trials program through Health and School of Medicine; Members Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology
