Hematology and Oncology Opening in Waterloo, IA Job Description: ~ Full-time opportunity in an established & growing practice ~ Join 2 Physician and 2 APPs ~ 2 Satellite clinics in Sumner & Grundy Center ~ Infusion & Lab & Clinic onsite ~ See 100 + New Patients monthly ~ Clinic Hours Mon-Thurs 8AM-4:30PM and Friday 8A-12:00PM ~ Collaboration with other UPH Services - Primary Clinic Providers, Surgeons, Pulmonologists, Palliative/Hospice Care, and Radiology ~ Social Work, Nurse Navigator, Dietician Research RN, Genetic Counselor, Tumor registrar, and Pharmacist onsite ~ Supportive administration and full IT system support ~ Fully integrated system with clinic and hospital EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Responsibilities: ~ Practice includes full-service infusion and typical outpatient[MBM1] oncology Clinic ~ Average 18-20 Patients per day ~ Tumor Board meets 2X Month for Breast and Lung/General 3X Monthly ~ Opportunities to get involved in Clinical Trials and Research ~ Procedures include infusion, lab, bone marrow biopsy onsite ~ Call 1:3 alternating primary call with back-up call and APP support ~ Large Hospitalist team supports specialists ~ Community Outreach to include prevention and detection services ~ Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Qualifications: ~ MD or DO ~ Board Certified or Board Eligible ~ Completed Fellowship program in Hematology/Oncology ~ Eligible to work in the United States ~ Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve ~ Hold an unrestricted license to practice medicine and surgery in the state(s) in which Physician provides services ~ Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills About the Group: A non-profit 900-member physician group practice serving 2,000,000 patients from 280 locations in Iowa and Illinois. Clinic has a base of primary care physicians in family practice, internal medicine and pediatrics. In addition, it offers physician services in subspecialty areas including pulmonology/Critical Care, endocrinology/diabetes, infectious disease, neurology, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry and rheumatology.
