We are seeking a dedicated OB/GYN or Women's Health Physician with a strong clinical background to lead psychiatry-focused clinical research studies at our Cincinnati site. This position offers flexibility — full-time or part-time — and an opportunity to contribute to advancing innovative treatments for mental health disorders. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to stay patient-facing while also getting involved in clinical research, even if they do not come from a heavy research background.

Overview

The Principal Investigator (PI) serves as the lead medical authority responsible for ensuring that all OBGYN & Women's Health clinical trials are conducted safely, ethically, and in compliance with regulatory requirements. The PI will oversee study conduct, participant care, and team performance while acting as the key liaison between sponsors, investigators, and regulatory bodies.


Job Responsibilities

Provide clinical oversight and medical supervision of OBGYN/Women's Health research studies, ensuring adherence to protocols and participant safety.
Personally conduct or supervise study procedures, confirming delegated staff are qualified and appropriately trained.
Comply with all FDA, GCP, and IRB standards and applicable federal and state regulations.
Review psychiatric assessments, lab results, and adverse events, ensuring accurate documentation and interpretation.
Support the recruitment and screening of participants for psychiatric studies.
Collaborate with study monitors and sponsors to ensure smooth study operations.
Mentor and oversee Sub-Investigators and clinical research team members.
Provide occasional weekend or after-hours coverage when required by protocol.

Qualifications

MD or DO with specialization in OB/GYN OR (Family Medicine or Internal Medicine with Women's health experience)
Board-certified or board-eligible in OB/GYN OR (IM/FM)
Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice
Prior clinical research experience preferred but not required
Current physician license in Ohio, active and clear
