Seeking a Locum Gynecologic Oncology Physician to provide clinical, surgical, and call coverage in an academic hospital setting. The physician will provide care for adult patients in both the clinic and operating room, with support from APPs and medical assistants.
The role includes scheduled daytime clinic and OR coverage along with required after hours and weekend call. The practice uses EPIC EMR and includes residents rotating through the service.
Job Responsibilities
• Evaluate and manage patients in the outpatient clinic
• Perform gynecologic oncology surgical procedures
• Provide operating room coverage
• Manage postoperative patients as needed
• Participate in required after hours call coverage
• Provide 24 hour weekend call coverage
• Collaborate with APPs, medical assistants, residents, and other healthcare professionals
• Review patient histories, examinations, diagnostic studies, and treatment plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC
• Provide continuity of care throughout the assignment
• Respond to urgent patient needs while on call
• Work within an academic hospital and multidisciplinary environment
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania Physician License or IMLC LOQ in hand
• DEA required
• Recent Gynecologic Oncology clinical and surgical experience
• Experience providing OR and clinic coverage
• Ability to manage adult patients
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Clean credentialing file preferred for temporary privileges
• Full compliance documentation required prior to start
• Must provide complete malpractice disclosure
• NPDB self query dated within 6 months of presentation
• Must provide current CV and availability
• Must clearly identify exact dates available for coverage
• Temporary privileges may be available for urgent needs with clean, non complex files
Working Hours
• Clinic Lunch: 30 minutes
• OR: Approximately 7:00/8:00 AM–4:00/5:00 PM
• Standard Day: 8 hour shifts
• After Hours: Required call coverage
• Weekend: 24 hour call coverage
• Coverage generally consists of approximately 1 week per month with some flexibility
• Primary coverage period: September 19, 2026 at 7:00 AM through October 12, 2026 at 8:00 AM
• Additional coverage may be available based on scheduling needs
