Texas Academic Gynecologic Oncologist Opportunity
A rewarding Gynecologic Oncologist role is open at a major academic health system in Texas, serving a diverse, underserved community while helping train the next generation of physicians. The department is committed to comprehensive women’s health care, education, and culturally competent service.
Practice Details
- Replacing retiring Gynecologic Oncologist – growing to 3 GYN ONCs
- New Comprehensive Cancer & Ambulatory Center opening 2028
- Compensation: Base salary + metric-based bonus, sign-on, and relocation
- Colposcopy & Outreach Directorship
- Fellowship development: GYN/ONC fellowship planned for 2027
- Shared consultative overnight call
- Academic environment: 20 OB/GYN residents with medical school on-site
- Modern clinics: 24 exam rooms, procedure & sonogram rooms, genetic testing; 10–12 patients per half day with dedicated support
- Collaborative team: 2 Hem/Onc, surgical oncologist, 5 OB/GYNs, 2 MFMs, 2 Uro-Gyn, plus multidisciplinary surgical support
- Advanced facilities: Level I hospital, attached surgical & children’s hospitals, 24/7 anesthesia, infusion center, and robotic surgery with teaching consoles
- State-employed position: Pension plan, 8.5% match, and excellent benefits
