Responsibilities
- Clinical: The candidate will provide inpatient consultative services for inborn errors of metabolism and general genetics at Tampa General Hospital and general genetics at St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital, as well as outpatient USF Health clinics.
- Research: Participate in research programs to expand the scholarly activities of the division. The incumbent will be encouraged to participate in clinical trials and other clinical research.
- Teaching: Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, fellows and genetic counselor students.
- Responsible to a Chair or other appropriate administrator of a State university. Responsible for teaching, research, service, and related administrative activities. Responsible for academic advising and related activities. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit on university and/or Statewide committees.
- Medical degree from an accredited institution. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Clinical Genetics and Genomics and be eligible for full unrestricted Florida Medical License.
- Must meet university criteria for faculty appointment to the rank of assistant professor, associate or professor.
