The Division of Medical Genetics in the Department of Child Health at the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine seeks a full-time Geneticist. The position provides general consultative and patient care responsibilities in genetics; it will also include teaching responsibilities and have possible opportunities for research. The applicant will join a busy Medical Genetics Division and provide service in Columbia and at outreach locations throughout rural Missouri.

The MU Children’s Hospital at the University of Missouri Health Care has over 100 inpatient beds, a wide variety of pediatric medical and surgical sub-specialists, and comprehensive ancillary services

Job Details

  • Join a team of:

    • 25 child health specialists, including 1 Geneticist

    • 2 Genetics Counselors

    • 1.5 Dieticians

    • 5 APPs

  • Responsibilities are:

    • 80-90% Clinical

    • 10% Teaching/Research/Administrative

  • Research opportunities through grant/clinical trials

  • Call Schedule

    • Shared between two providers

    • Assistance from St. Louis Children’s

Qualifications

  • MD/DO

  • BC/BE in Medical Genetics from an ACGME- or ACGMEi-accredited institution

  • For the purposes of this application, board-certified/board eligible are considered experienced.
