Practice gastroenterology while serving military members and their families.
Storm Physicians, a physician-owned company, is recruiting a board-certified Gastroenterologist to provide care at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas.
This opportunity combines outpatient gastroenterology, inpatient consultation, and diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a multidisciplinary military teaching hospital.
Job Responsibilities
-Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, biopsy, polypectomy, dilation, and endoscopic hemostasis.
-Provide inpatient consultations and coordinate treatment with referring providers.
-Order and interpret diagnostic studies, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient outcomes.
-Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and procedures.
-Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
Qualifications
-Board certification in Gastroenterology.
-At least three years of post-residency clinical experience within the past four years providing direct gastroenterology patient care.
-Recent proficiency in diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures, including experience with ERCP and EUS.
-Current medical license and DEA registration; must meet applicable credentialing and privileging requirements.
-Current BLS and ALS or ACLS certification.
-U.S. citizenship required for this federal contract position.
