Aya Healthcare is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a 12-month locum tenens assignment at Highlands ARH Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, KY. Start as soon as credentialed.
• Client strongly prefers one consistent provider, but is open to two providers alternating weeks
• Procedural volume of 12-14 procedures per day: EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP (mid-complexity), stent placement, PEG, hemostasis and more
• APP support provided; Meditech EMR
• Offsite call shared with the other provider (1-2 call-ins per week, most commonly for active bleeds)
• Pleasant, kind culture; virtual interviews with service line leadership

Job Responsibilities
• Perform ERCP (moderate complexity), esophageal dilation, stent placement, PEG, argon plasma coagulation and non-variceal hemostasis
• See clinic patients and manage GI motility studies and pH monitoring
• Share offsite call (response within 30 minutes for emergency consults)
• Work with APP support
Qualifications
• ERCP experience (mid-level complexity); EUS and EMR not required
• Kentucky license required (willing to license)
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Medicare and Medicaid enrollment (credentialing approximately 3 months)
