Location: Grand Forks, North Dakota
Job Type: Locum Tenens – Physician
Specialty: Gastroenterology
Practice Setting: Outpatient GI Center
The physician will perform approximately 14–16 procedures per day, primarily colonoscopies and esophagogastroduodenoscopies (EGDs).
Job Responsibilities
Perform approximately 14–16 procedures per day, primarily colonoscopies and EGDs.
Conduct upper and lower GI endoscopic examinations.
Perform biopsies and polyp excisions as clinically indicated.
Evaluate findings and develop appropriate follow-up recommendations.
Complete timely and accurate procedure notes and clinical documentation.
Coordinate care with nursing staff, CRNAs, technicians, and other physicians.
Maintain safe, efficient procedural workflows and adhere to clinical standards.
Qualifications
Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
Active North Dakota medical license required.
Physicians eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) may be considered.
Experience performing outpatient colonoscopies and EGDs.
Competence with the listed upper and lower GI procedures.
Ability to manage the expected daily procedure volume and complete clinical documentation.
Ability to work collaboratively with procedural support staff and other physicians.
Working Hours
Hours: 5 days per week, 8 hours per day
Weekly Hours: 40 hours
Daily Schedule: Between 7:30 AM and 4:30 PM, allowing time for charting
Meal Break: 30 minutes
On-Call: No call
