Locums | Advanced Gastroenterology | Duluth, MN (any state license accepted) Why This Role

  • Advanced GI procedures: ERCP + EUS
  • Weekday procedural shifts; typically no clinic
  • January coverage + future vacation opportunities
Assignment Details Start/end: January 4–25, 2027; additional dates anticipated Availability: Full or partial coverage considered Schedule: 8-hour weekday shifts; 2 orientation days included Coverage type: Scheduled Procedures + Hospital Service + Potential Call Call: Weekend backup/second call anticipated; schedule TBD Call response time: 20 minutes Volume: Variable Setting: Inpatient and outpatient endoscopy with hospital service coverage Support: 2 APPs and procedural nursing staff EMR: Epic Credentialing: 45–120 days; temporary privileges available Clinical Details Advanced diagnostic and therapeutic Gastroenterology Upper GI endoscopy (EGD), including biopsy, foreign body removal, and bleeding control Diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP required Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) required Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy Flexible sigmoidoscopy Small bowel biopsy Inpatient GI consultations and hospital service coverage Variceal injection, PEG placement, and esophageal dilation preferred Primarily procedural coverage; clinic generally not required Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology License: Any state license accepted; MN license obtained during credentialing Advanced GI procedural experience Diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP proficiency required EUS proficiency required EGD, colonoscopy, and flexible sigmoidoscopy proficiency required Comfortable with inpatient GI service coverage Availability for January dates; partial coverage considered Compensation Rate caps apply per facility Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
