Gastroenterology Physician Position in Pennsylvania

Opportunity Overview

• Start Date: January 4, 2027, pending credentialing

• Contract Length: Ongoing

• Practice Setting: Hospital

• Patient Population: Adults, age 18+

• EMR: EPIC

• Coverage Commitment: 1, 2, or 3 weeks per month. Providers must complete the full selected coverage block.

• Support Staff: One APP available Monday–Friday, approximately 8 AM–3/4 PM, to assist with consults. APPs are not available on weekday holidays.

• Anesthesia Support: Available in-house

• Procedures: ERCP preferred; EUS not required.

Schedule & Coverage

Coverage block runs from Friday through the following Friday.

• Friday: 12 PM–5 PM onsite, followed by call from 5 PM–7 AM.

• Saturday: 7 AM–5 PM onsite, followed by call from 5 PM–7 AM.

• Sunday: 7 AM–5 PM onsite, followed by call from 5 PM–7 AM.

• Monday: 7 AM–5 PM onsite.

• Tuesday: 7 AM–5 PM onsite.

• Wednesday: 7 AM–5 PM onsite.

• Thursday: 7 AM–5 PM onsite, followed by call from 5 PM–7 AM.

• Following Friday: 7 AM–12 PM onsite.

Clinical Details

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology consultations and procedures.

• Care for adult patients in the hospital setting.

• Perform gastroenterology procedures, with ERCP experience preferred.

• EUS is not required.

• Collaborate with APPs for weekday consult support.

Requirements

• Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology

• Active Pennsylvania medical license

• DEA required

• Minimum 1 year of experience

• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90 days

• Temporary privileges may be available for candidates with a clean file
