Job description
A hospital in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania needs a gastroenterologist for ongoing procedure and call coverage starting in early January 2027. You work in blocks of one, two or three weeks a month and cover the full block each time.
A block runs Friday to the following Friday. Hospital days are 7am to 5pm Monday through Sunday, with Friday afternoon starting at noon and the final Friday ending at noon. Night call runs 5pm to 7am on the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Thursday nights of the block.
You see adults 18 and over in the hospital for consults and procedures. An APP helps with consults Monday through Friday, anesthesia is in house, and the group is on Epic. ERCP is preferred. There is no EUS.
Pay is $437.75 an hour. Night call pays $474.23 per shift and callback pays $437.75 an hour. Travel is covered. Credentialing takes about 90 days, and temporary privileges are possible for Pennsylvania-licensed physicians with a clean file.
