Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

Advanced GI coverage including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Flex Sig, and related procedures
Scheduled 8-hour weekday shifts focusing primarily on inpatient and outpatient procedures along with hospital service coverage
Locum coverage typically does not include clinic responsibilities
Call schedule to be determined, with the most likely scenario being backup/second call for weekends, to be discussed prior to shift confirmation
Initial coverage need is from January 4, 2027 through January 25, 2027 at 7:00 AM, including two days of orientation; open to providers who can cover part of these dates
Additional future dates available for vacation coverage with openness to considering additional dates as well
Required procedural skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/fulguration, ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic), small bowel biopsy, lower GI endoscopy, sigmoidoscopy (flexible), colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision, and endoscopic ultrasound (EUS)
Preferred skills include injection of varices, PEG placement, esophageal dilation/manometry, esophageal manometry interpretation, rigid sigmoidoscopy, liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management
Board certification or board eligibility required
Gastroenterology fellowship training required
