Ongoing locum tenens gastroenterology coverage in Springfield, Oregon, starting February 1, 2027, with procedures at a surgical center and privileges at both the clinic and a 390-bed hospital. You work in a department with two other physicians, 8-hour days and 40-hour weeks, with no call. A typical day runs 7:30am to 4:00pm and mixes outpatient procedures, inpatient procedures, and clinic time, with rounding and admissions, and about 15 patients a day. Pay is $501.50 an hour, $589.77 for overtime, and $707.73 for holidays. Travel and lodging are covered.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform ERCP, including sampling, stent placement, stone extraction, dilation, and cholangioscopy
- Perform EUS with interventions, PEG placement and replacement, and Bravo pH
- Order and read capsule endoscopy and esophageal manometry
- Round on and admit inpatients and see clinic patients
Qualifications
- Case logs documenting GI procedures from the last 24 months
- Active Oregon license
- BLS
- Flu vaccine required, with medical and religious exemptions only
