Opportunity:
Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
Gastroenterology General Hospitalist position providing call coverage support6-month contract with day shifts and night call coverage
Typical arrangement consists of 8-hour shifts with call-back coverage; 7 on and 7 off schedule, with some providers electing two consecutive weeks
Night coverage may be part of the arrangement, though most cases are held until the following morning when possible
Support staff includes 9 APPs and several RNs, along with LPNs and MAs across 3 GI locations
Two APPs trained in advanced GI perform preliminary patient evaluations prior to scheduling with the advanced physician
Patient population is adults 18 and older, with an average patient age of 58
EMR system: Cerner
Board Certification required
Active state license required; IMLC candidates or those qualifying for WV temporary license will be considered
DEA required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
