Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide variety of gastrointestinal disorders.
• Perform outpatient and inpatient Gastroenterology consultations.
• Perform upper and lower endoscopic procedures.
• Perform advanced GI procedures based on training and experience.
• Collaborate closely with primary care physicians, surgeons, hospitalists, and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Participate in a shared 1:4 call rotation.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and program development.

Qualifications

Required

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Eligible for unrestricted Louisiana medical licensure
• DEA registration or ability to obtain
• Excellent clinical, communication, and collaborative practice skills

Preferred

• ERCP experience or fellowship training
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) experience
• Interest in advanced therapeutic endoscopy
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient-centered care
