Job description
Healthcare United is seeking a Gastroenterology Physician for a full-time, permanent opportunity with an established, growing digestive health practice in northwestern Pennsylvania’s Lake Erie region, near Harborcreek. Join a collaborative, hospital-employed team offering a strong procedural focus, extensive clinical support, and opportunities to develop additional gastroenterology skills.
The practice serves adults and adolescents ages 12 and older and includes five physicians, thirteen advanced practice providers, and a support staff of 35. Resources include advanced endoscopic technology, an ASGE-designated Center of Excellence GI lab, and an in-house infusion suite with capacity for ten patients.
The position offers approximately 80% inpatient care and procedures and 20% office-based care. Available services include colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, BRAVO testing, capsule endoscopy, radiofrequency therapies, infusion therapy, and hepatitis C treatment. ERCP experience is preferred but not required, and mentorship is available. Call rotates one week every five to six weeks, including coverage of two nights during the assigned week.
The compensation package includes a $100,000 sign-on bonus or student loan incentive. Job Responsibilities
Provide inpatient gastroenterology care and office-based consultations.
Perform colonoscopy, EGD, and other gastroenterology procedures within training and privileges.
Participate in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic services as appropriate to experience.
Collaborate with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and clinical support staff.
Participate in the shared call rotation.
Expand procedural skills through available mentorship and training.
Qualifications
American Board Eligible, American Board Certified, or Canadian Board Certified in Gastroenterology.
Broad gastroenterology skills and willingness to learn new techniques and procedures.
ERCP experience preferred but not required.
Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and necessary credentials.
DEA certification.
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to patient-centered care.

Working Hours
Approximately 80% inpatient care/procedures and 20% office-based care.
Call one week every 5–6 weeks.
Call week runs Monday 8:00 AM through the following Monday 8:00 AM, including coverage of 2 nights.
